Appointment with the hairdresser on Tuesday and in the meanwhile my hair has mostly been up in a couldn’t-care-less messy top knot.
Chanel has stunning lip collection this fall, beautiful rich shades going from sultry beiges to deep plum of varying texture and coverage. I love how they look like when mixed, giving the lips extra dimension.

I am working on superfun make-up project in collaboration with a fantastic gal I know Cecilie Talke, and while photos still need to be edited and conceptualized, I wanted to share a small out take showcasing my favorite nail lacquer for the time being- Chanel Le Vernis in 669 Châitagne in this rich glossy dark brown.
I will admit to mascara being my beauty nemesis.
As I am a big fan of dewy, well-moisturized complexion and swear to beauty oils, moisturisers and mists (well I have my 3 cult products) you may imagine how well that works with mascara. Any kind of mascara, primer no primer, nevermind, it ends up messy after an hour or two, and panda look isn’t one for me. On the other hand I was never satisfied with how black mascara looks on if your are doing barely there make up and the brown ones I just didn’t find appealing.
Funny enough I talked about some gals about this and they were on the same page as me, we all needed that ‘feline flick’ -yet still couldn’t find the right one (and I have tried believe me…).
So, Elis Faas sample found it’s way into my hands during fashion week. read more
So fashion week is synonymous with running around and during those stressful days I wear very little make up. You know I am big fan of LaMer, so I got this tinted moisturiser in the airport and really loved it. It is lighter than the foundation (obviously) and melts beautifully into the skin, giving it very natural look. To get some glow I use RMS Buriti Bronzer just on the cheeks.
And that is pretty much it.
Lately I have been obsessing of textures and the way lights hits the, , creating intricate shadow patterns that translate as objects character. I think this especially comes through when using a softer palette.

As far as the new publications go it is hard for me to get any in Norway(we are pretty much sticking tot he same old mass friendly newsstand), but as I will be traveling quite a lot in weeks to come, I will have to get my hands on Beauty Papers Issue 1. I have had a chance to flip through some pages online, and I do love the another approach they are taking on to portraying convential beauty products & perceptions in general (it is something like approach The Line has taken in this feature).
I am especially obsessed with products textures and how they feel on the skin so anything down that lane is a a big load of inspiration for my part. read more
I became a fan of RMS some time ago when I finally could get hands on it in Norway and it has been my cult go-to brand since. These 3 products are the only ones I use on the vacay – a good not- to- orangey bronzer, warm toned blush and face-oil to keep my skin nourished in the extreme heat.
